I’m quite picky regarding cookware. However it feels like Vermicular is the pot I was waiting for.
I’ve heard before that food cooked with Vermicular would not crumble, but could not imagine it was so true until I cut a potato.
I was gloating over its firm flesh and the clear cut…
I used to cook with foreign enameled pots but could not get such result.
Because it’s heavy, so far I’ve been often hesitating before using my enameled cast iron pot.
But now, I get my Vermicular out of the cupboard and let’s rock n’ roll! That’s really how I do feel now!
Cool idea too, the ridges on the bottom! Food doesn’t stick and maintenance is easy.

We tried baking sweet potatoes but―was the heat to high?― it burnt and we can’t remove it…
My wife is so disappointed! We don’t know how to remove burns and clean the pot.

We feel so sorry and deeply regret we were not able to inform you better.
If burnt or stuck-on food cannot be removed with kitchen detergent and a sponge, add 2 or 3 tablespoons of bicarbonate and boil for 10 minutes over medium heat to easily dissolve residues.
For stains, spray bleach (foam type is recommended) on the colored parts. Wait 10 to 20 minutes before rinsing.

Also, the pot bottom was lightly colored so I’ve followed your instructions and now the pot looks god as new! My wife is satisfied too. Thank you!

Actually, sweet potato contains little moisture and lots of sugar; it is therefore easy to burn.
We recommend you to pour 1 or 2 tablespoons of water in your Vermicular and to spread a baking sheet before. Sweet potatoes will be just as good and you should avoid burning.

I’ve cooked a pot-au feu. I couldn’t believe it was so tasty although I used no consommé but just little salt and pepper.

It’s such a good-looking pot! But more than this, I was impressed by the delicious taste it gives to food.

I’ve cooked potato pork but the rims between the body and lid rusted.
Is your pot supposed to rust so fast? Tell me how to remove and prevent rust.

We deeply apologize our instructions were not sufficient and caused you so much trouble.
First, try to clean the rust with a sponge and kitchen detergent. If the rust is hard to remove, you can also use a kitchen anti-corrosive solution (cream type).
To keep the seal airtight, the black rims of the pot and lid have not been coated with enamel. It is therefore rust sensitive.
To keep this area from rusting, dry your pot immediately after washing.
We also recommend applying a thin layer of vegetable oil with kitchen paper for example, before and after cooking.

I got a Vermicular from friends as a wedding gift. I am already using it pretty much.
I’m always amazed by the quantity of water exuded by vegetables. I cooked stew, curry, pot-au-feu, cabbage-roll, etc. the same way I always did before but taste is better,
savor is deepest, like the vegetables’ flavor is more condensed.

I’ve tried the “scallop and hen-of-the-woods rice” recipe found on your website!
It was so good!! First I was thinking about a more classical menu but finally tried something totally different.
I also tried the aromatic roast chicken, the roast beef, the Bagna càuda. But my favorite at the moment is the pork miso soup.
